Who said learning English can’t be sweet?
Just a few minutes from our learning school in Brooklyn, students can find a charming, flavorful spot: Little Cupcake Bakeshop. This cozy café is perfect for a post-class break, and a great opportunity to practice English in a real, everyday setting.
Where is it?
Little Cupcake Bakeshop is located on Prince Street, right in the heart of Brooklyn and very close to our facilities. The area is peaceful, safe, and full of small, charming local shops.
☕ What do we love about this place?
This place is not only beautiful inside and out (its vintage walls and display cases full of cakes look like something out of a movie), but it also has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot where you can practice your English while ordering at the counter, reading a book, or simply watching the world go by.
✍️ Activity: “My Dream Café”
Imagine you have your own cafe. What would it look like? What kind of desserts and drinks would you serve?
Give your cafe a name. Be creative!
Example: Sweet Dreams Cafe or The Chocolate Corner.
Describe your café in English.
Include details like:
- What it looks like inside.
- What music plays.
- What kind of people go there.
Create a mini menu with:
3 desserts (cupcakes, cakes, cookies, etc.)
3 drinks (hot chocolate, smoothies, tea, etc.)
Write 3 example phrases that a customer might say in your cafe.
Example:
“Hi! I’ll have a chocolate cupcake, please.”
“Can I sit by the window?”
“Do you have almond milk?”
Bonus: Draw your cafe or design the menu!
